Senior Software Engineer

Gazzang has a great opportunity for a Senior Software Engineering to join our team.  We are looking for a Rock Star Developer that can apply their Java, Ruby and web development skills on our next generation suite of cloud management products.  In this role you will work with cutting edge technology for massive data collection and analytics.

The ideal candidate should enjoy writing user interfaces – for web browsers and mobile which will have the look & feel and ease of use of commercial SaaS based applications.

Required Experience

  • 3-5 years Java Development
  • 3-5 Web UI, Javascript, CSS
  • 2-3 Ruby
  • 2-3 years scripting bash or perl
  • 1-1 RESTful APIs and JSON

Linux Implementation Engineer

Gazzang has a great opportunity for a Linux Implementation Engineer to join our hot Austin startup. We are looking for a motivated and self driven Linux Implementation Engineer that will lead our services engagements and perform post-sales implementation of our suite of products.

The name Gazzang alone should tell you the type of company and people we are, we work hard and play hard. We are located downtown with plenty of great places in walking distance.

Required Experience

  • 5-8 years Linux experience
  • 3-5 years shell scripting bash or perl
  • 3-5 years IT or SysAdmin experience
  • 1-3 years consulting or professional services and working directly with customers
  • Opensource application support experience with one or more of these technologies - vsftpd, Apache, Tomcat, JBoss, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Hadoop, Cassandra
  • Hands on experience with many linux distributions, rhel, ubuntu, centos, fedora, debian

Bonus Experience

  • Security Certifications, Encryption, Ciphers
  • Big Data implementations
  • Experience in service engagements with Fortune 500 accounts
  • Experience with Cloud Technology and Providers such as Amazon EC2, S3, EBS, Eucalyptus, Rackspace, OpenStack, CPanel

Account Manager

Gazzang is seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as an Account Manager. This position reports to the VP of Sales and involves managing a large territory and several named accounts. In addition to requisite passion, skills and experience, the successful candidate will have a measurable track record in building and managing a sales territory. This individual will play a key role driving a revenue for Gazzang.

Responsibilities for the position include but are not limited to:

  • Meet and exceed revenue goals
  • Experience and credibility selling at the CxO and senior business manager level

  • Ensure successful deployment of our products and customer satisfaction
  • Manage assigned territory and/or assigned accounts
  • Comfortable with both an enterprise and transactional sales model
  • Ability to forecast, manage sales process

Required Experience

  • BA/BS degree is a must
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant sales/ business development experience
  • Experience in selling Linux products, cloud solutions and/or SaaS software is a must
  • Demonstrated ability to present effectively, and to sell a technical solution
  • Strong skills in communication, negotiation, organization, and teamwork
  • Desire to work from a central location with emphasis on selling through the phone
